I’ve enjoyed the Undercrown Shade and Sun Grown, and my local shop had this Maduro. The wrapper was nicely dark with thin veins throughout. The CD was bitter with dark chocolate and had some spice. The first light exploded with chocolate and red pepper flakes. After the foot opened a bit, the chocolate continued, moving toward sweet and the pepper disappeared. Progressing into the middle, I picked up earthly and leathery notes, and the chocolate backed off to a supporting role. The cigar burned very nicely, with the three flavors balancing to the end. The finish lingered on the tongue longer than many cigars. Good, not great flavor to cost ratio.
