The foot of the cigar is buttery and rich with a natural tobacco sweetness to it. Once the cap is clipped there is a fig like sweetness with a hint of molasses as well.
As we smoke the first third of the cigar there is a nice toast note with melted butter. If there was a cigar that reminded me of breakfast this fits the mold. In fact it reminds of Tostado Cubano (Cuban Toast) in Miami and consider there is snow mounds here of 12 feet, it’s a nice warm memory.
The second third of the Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut remains with its core notes of toast and butter but the cigar gets even smoother, and creamier.
The last third of the cigar picks up some nutty notes and the buttery richness remains on the aroma of this incredibly smooth cigar that introduces a hint of spice at the very end.
