Meerapfel might not be a name everyone knows in the cigar industry, but the family history in tobacco is unheralded. Known for Authentic Cameroon tobacco the company began in 1876. In 1969 the family created the Cameroon wrapper which has become a mainstay in the cigar industry.
In 2022 the company launced a cigar for the first time worthy of their family name. The Meerapfel Richard is named after late Richard Meerapfel, who passed away in 2003.
The company is keeping the blend of this ciger under wraps as all they wish to disclose at this time is the wrapper consists of a vintage Cameroon.
Packaged in what the company is describing as a chest, these 10 cigars come packaged in a ceramic ashtray within a wood box.
