I’m not typically a buyer of Lonsdale or Lanceros, but found this one in my humidor. The wrapper didn’t look tight, in fact it was a bit wrinkly. Wanting to enjoy the sweetened cap, I snipped a very small bit. The CD was incredibly loose. The candy sweet cap hid all other flavors. Upon lighting, the draw was a challenge. A good pinch helped. The lit cigar offered some mild sweetness and a hint of pepper. The volume of smoke was incredibly thick and creamy. After a quick touch-up after the first third, I noted smokehouse almonds. Though my lips remained coated in sweet, the cigar settled into a consistent nutty flavor, with a bitter finish. The ash held well, and was the blackest I’ve seen. I let this one sit between puffs, to see if the bitter would disappear. Midway, the RH was cedar and very light pepper. The bitter faded, except what remained on my tongue. After pinching the head to control the draw, the burn line was great. The cigar finished with mostly cedar. My lower rating is primarily draw related. I will try a larger gauge in the future. Low price helps this cigar, making it an ok value.
