In 1903, The United States assumed territorial control over the most southern portion of Guantanamo Bay. When the United States enacted the Cuban embargo in 1962, we maintained that portion of the island. This cigar which has some similarities to pre-embargo Cuban's pays homage to the US Soil on the Island South of the Mainland. The Guantanamo Bay has a mocha colored pristine Habano wrapper which also features a Habano binder. The filler is a mixture of Cuban-seed tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. This cigar gives you a glimpse inside the island when Cuban cigars were legal with its old-world Cuban profile.
